CLEVELAND, Ohio -- If the best things in life are free then pancakes would be free. Luckily for you, today they are.
In honor of National Pancake Day, which, by the way, has been a thing since 2006, IHOP is serving a free short stack for anyone stopping in between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The offer is good for one stack of three buttermilk pancakes per customer and dine-in only.
A short stack normally costs $3.99.
You might want to keep that in mind because IHOP is trying to raise $5 million for children's hospitals and health organizations as part of this year's National Pancake Day festivities. The chain says its customers have raised over $30 million over the last decade for charities such as Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, Shriners Hospitals for Children and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
"For 60 years, IHOP and our franchisees have made it our mission to support the communities we serve. IHOP National Pancake Day is our declaration to pancake lovers everywhere that we are committed to giving back in meaningful ways," IHOP president Darren Rebelez said in a statement. "At IHOP, we think doing good is delicious. Every stack of pancakes we serve on our signature day counts toward helping our charity partners improve the health and lives of millions of children and families across the country."
There are two IHOP restaurants in Cleveland -- at Steelyard Commons and on Brookpark Road -- as well as locations in Avon, Bedford, Willoughby, Akron, Streetsboro and North Canton.
